Don Sliker
About Don
Don has a strong sense of loyalty and empathy toward those he cares about. He is known for being very intense when it comes to what he wants to achieve in both his professional and personal life.
As a result, Don values hard work and learning; he believes that failure only occurs if you stop trying. Time is something he feels people do not always appreciate fully. He loves learning new things and traveling.
If he could have had any superhuman ability, he would have chosen to be able to go back in time. This reflects his desire to take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with the people he cares about.
His ultimate goal is for all three of his children to grow into successful adults and leave their mark on the world. The advice he received from his father and the positive influence of his community have been two key factors in his success.
Overall, the combination of his professional dedication, personal integrity, and family/community involvement makes him a great addition to the Maguire Law Firm team.
He lives with his wife and three children (Alexander, Ethan, and Marcus) and has three dogs. When not at home or working, he spends time with family, working out, and reading.
Sliker attended Montclair State University and earned a B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2002. After college, he became a police officer in South Carolina, serving from 2003 to 2023. In this role, he developed a reputation as a dedicated advocate for community policing.
Community policing was inspired by Sliker’s father, Donald E. Sliker, who was also a police officer for over 33 years. Community policing advocates for building relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
During his time as a police officer, Sliker worked in several capacities before ending up as a sergeant in the criminal investigation division. Sliker enjoyed helping victims find answers to questions related to crimes that were committed against them.
