He primarily represents individuals injured due to automobile collisions, trips and falls, and nursing home negligence. He has represented injured workers in South Carolina and North Carolina for over two decades. Ian is dedicated to holding corporations that refuse to abide by their duties accountable for the injuries and damages they cause.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Ian Maguire, Esquire/Owner of The Maguire Law Firm was chosen as the 2019 Leadership Grand Strand Ann DeBock Leadership Award Winner. Maguire was presented with the award at a ceremony during the Ann DeBock Leadership Award Alumni Social at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club on Jan. 25.
Presented by Leadership Grand Strand, a 9-month leadership program of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the annual award honors one LGS graduate who exhibits outstanding leadership and service. The recipient must volunteer in service or civic roles, serve on appointed boards or commissions, and exhibit an overall demonstration of effective leadership skills.
“We had incredible nominees put forth each year for this award,” said Ashley Setzer, LGS Board of Regents Chair. “Ian truly stood out for the many contributions he has made to our community over the past 20 years through many different organizations.”
Maguire has dedicated time and leadership to Horry County Special Olympics, March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, Grand Strand Rape Crisis Center, St. Andrew’s School Board, Early-College High School, North Myrtle Beach Civitans, South Carolina Bar Worker’s Compensation Section, Injured Worker’s Advocates of South Carolina and the LGS Board of Regents.
