About Peggy

Peggy A. Way was born and raised in southern West Virginia where she entered the law field in her early twenties, learning the ropes from seasoned professionals in the firms she worked. After several years with established firms in the region, she took a position as paralegal/office manager for a sole practitioner that specialized in everything from bankruptcy, medical malpractice, domestic law, and criminal defense, to estate planning and personal injury.

After marrying, she and her daughter moved with her husband Mike to Winthrop, Maine where she continued her career serving clients and furthering her legal experience to include complex litigation at a firm in Augusta, Maine.

Five years later, Peggy moved to the Myrtle Beach area with her husband and now two children where Peggy continued gaining experience in the fields of foreclosure, corporate, medical malpractice (plaintiff and defense), and personal injury.   She joined the Maguire Law Firm in 2022, bringing to the firm many years of dedication to the legal field as well as a history of experience and a steadfast commitment to clients.

In her free time, Peggy enjoys traveling and new adventures with her husband of 35 years, her family, cats, crafts and baking.  A special side note must include her knack for creating delicacies to match whatever holiday might be on the horizon, along with seasonal attire for these occasions. Family, neighbors and co-workers especially look forward to her baked creations that materialize between Thanksgiving and Christmas!
