Gail Finney has years of experience and a strong work ethic in her position as a pre-litigation paralegal at the Maguire Law Firm in Myrtle Beach, SC. As a result of her majoring in business and secretarial studies at Katherine Gibbs in New York, NY, Gail’s entry into the legal world began as a secretary in a law firm. It wasn’t long before she demonstrated her talents and dedication to a career in the law and found a rewarding position with the Maguire Law Firm.

One of Gail’s achievements was getting an insurance company to accept liability in a case that didn’t have an accident report; however did include a voice recording. The accomplishment speaks to Gail’s ability to find solutions to complex issues. Gail attributes much of her career choices to her dad, who instilled in her the confidence that if she wanted something, she could do it. Gail moved to South Carolina at the age of 50 when he encouraged her to take advantage of opportunities she wouldn’t have in New York. Gail states her husband has always supported and encouraged her throughout her career.

As far as what life experiences Gail has learned from, they are about perseverance and resilience. Gail believes you should never give up and strive for success every day. Gail states that if she were able to pursue another career choice, she would be interested in becoming a court reporter, as she loves the legal system. Gail’s goal for the future is to have many grandkids, which will represent how important family means to her. Gail was born in Yonkers, NY, and later moved with her family to Upstate New York. Gail has 2 sons and 4 brothers. Gail says she is friendly and funny. During her free time, Gail likes to read and go to the beach. Moving to Myrtle Beach was definitely one of the best decisions she made.
